Communities of practice are groups of people who share a passion for something that they know how to do and who interact regularly to learn how to do it better. (Wenger 2006)

The community of practice model, through the process of sharing information and experiences, will be “used as a means of developing interagency working that could both promote partnerships and move towards sustainable change that positively influences both service design and its delivery.” (Lathlean and Le May 2002)
